Information Statement on the Activities of State Autonomous Institution of Rostov Region |
Regional Advisory and Diagnostic Center (SAI RR RADC)
The State Autonomous Institution of Rostov Region Regional Advisory and Diagnostic Center (SAI RR RADC) is an aggregator of the state-of-art computer-based medical technologies and resources and applies those for the healthcare benefit of the Rostov Region populace. In 2008, the quality management system was introduced, and until now it has been being constantly updated. This QM system complies with the ISO 9001-2015 international standard requirements. This year, the Center has acquired a compliance certificate under the GOST R ISO 15189-2015 standard in respect of laboratory diagnostics.
The main lines of the Center’s activities are: specialized initial out-patient medical services, diagnostic tests (radiology, functional tests, endoscopy, laboratory tests); specialized medical care, including high-tech medical care with the utilization of minimally invasive methods of diagnostics and treatment (also in X-ray operating theater). Over 1 million people from 80 subjects of the Russian Federation acquire medical aid at the Center each year.
The Center occupies two buildings with 14,000 sq. m. of total area.
The structure of the center comprises an advisory department, 3 continuous care departments, an anesthesiology and reanimation department, a day patient facility, 4 diagnostic departments, a clinical diagnostics laboratory, and a physiotherapy department. The Center is equipped with 1,500 medical appliances, among which there are premium class surgical systems for complex minimally invasive procedures, 3 computer tomography units, 3 MRI scanners, a mammography unit, an osteodensimetry unit, a roentgen scanner, 20 ultrasonography units, 36 units for endoscopy. The laboratory complex is equipped with more than 50 analyzers.
RADC employs 189 doctors including 20 bearers of the Excellent Worker of Public Health title, 3 bearers of the Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation title, 2 bearers of Habilitation degree in medicine, 25 Ph. D. M’s, and 3 Ph.D. Bio’s. 105 doctors are qualified as supreme category workers, 21 doctors as the first category workers, and 14 doctors as the second category workers. 100% of doctors on the staff are certified.
The bed capacity of the continuous care facilities is 64 beds. The interventional and research radiology department implements annually 1,100 to 1,200 operations in the following fields: urology, gynecology, abdominal surgery, treatment of the lower extremity varicose vein disease, operational orthopedics, proctology. Otolaryngology department implements up to 1,000 operative interventions, in which the frontline activities are operations aimed at hearing improvement, microscopic operations on nose and maxillary sinuses, laryngeal surgery. Diagnostic and treatment therapeutics department carries out a comprehensive examination and selection of therapy in diagnostically complex cases, genetic engineering therapy of allergies. The day patient facility conducts Botulinum toxin therapy and intraarticular administration of synovial fluid, medically induced revascularization under atherosclerotic ischemia of lower extremities.
There are 14 specialized centers and 7 specialized profiles within the advisory department. The activities that these pursue are: complete diagnostics; cancer prevention; enhancement of life quality for the patients; monitoring of patients with difficult-to-diagnose and rare pathologies. Moreover, the department is currenty developing an outpatient surgery profile within the framework of which, around 3,000 operations per year are being carried out, mainly in such fields as gynecology and ophthalmology.
Workforce capacity, administration based on the quality management system, positive growth dynamics for specific kinds of medical aid – all this allows a prospective doubling of our Center’s output under the condition of expansion of the facilities to the aggregate of 40,000 square meters which is impossible with the existing occupied area. Such doubling of output requires a solution in the form of construction of a new building.
Inpatient departments
Our difference from the other Russian diagnostic centres involves inpatient departments. There are five of them at RADC: day patient department, diagnostic and treatment medical department, surgical and ENT patient-departments, anesthesiology and reanimation department.
Day patient department
In the setting of Day patient department the patients within the minimum period of time can receive the entire range of diagnostic examination and treatment across all the specialties stated at Advisory Department, which include less traumatic surgical interventions, hysteroscopy and botulinotherapy. Day patient department works from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily, inclusive of Sunday. Highly skilled therapists, neurologist, endocrinologist and cardiologist work at the given department.
Diagnostic and treatment medical department
Diagnostic and treatment medical department represents round-the-clock multi-special hospital, where patients are admitted for examinations, diagnosis specification and the selection of proper therapy. The department has the doctors of all therapeutic specialties.
Department of radiological surgical diagnostic and treatment techniques (surgical patient-department)
The department comprises the performance of endoscopic and laparoscopic interventions in the diseases of urogenital system, abdominal cavity, gynecological disorders and arthroscopic manipulations on major joints, as well as minimally invasive treatment of rectum and lower extremity vein diseases.
ENT in-patient department
Otorhinolaryngological in-patient department – the department involves the performance of микроendoscopic surgical correction and treatment of various ENT organ diseases.
Anesthesiology and reanimation department
Anesthesiology and reanimation department — department specialists provide anesthetic support during surgical interventions and diagnostic manipulations.
